Have seen many of user on social networking sites asking for rooting method for Redmi2 MIUI6 and MIUI7
So try this method if you are looking forward to root you Redmi2 MIUI6 and MIUI7.
We Need to First Flash Custom Recovery Download RECOVERY.img
1. TWRP Download [Recommended] [Rename to recovery]
2. Enable Developer Options (Tap MIUI version 7 times in About Phone), and then in Developer Options [in Additional Settings] enable USB debugging.
How to Flash Custom Recovery in Redmi 2
1. Now Download this file here Flash Recovery v1.rar
2. Extract Flash Recovery v1.rar you will get folder Flash Recovery v1
3. Put Recovery.img in this folder.
4. Turn off your device remove battery and insert again.
5. Turn on the device while holding volume down and power.
[Simply press volume down button and then press power button you will be in fastboot mode.]
5. Plug the device into your computer.
6. Now Double Click on install-windows name file for permanent flash.
OR Click on Temporary Boot-windows name file for temporary flash.
7. You Recovery will be flashed.
Q. What is Permanent Flash and Temporary flash?
Permanent Flash will Replace your Stock Recovery and Temporary Flash Boot Custom recovery Either CWM or TWRP only for Once so that you can flash zip you want choice is yours i recommend you to use install-windows Command.
How to ROOT REDMI 2
Now Download SuperSU.zip from the link given below. Redmi2_SuperSU.zip
1. Reboot into twrp recovery
2. Turn off your device remove battery and insert again.
3. Turn on the device while holding volume up and power.
4. Select Install and Choose Redmi2_SuperSU.zip and Swipe to Execute
The phone will reboot in recovery and flash the su permission with superSU app
Now open SuperSu app and Select Normal wait for some time and then press reboot option.
